Post subject: Access2007 to SQL2005 Mysterious On Screen Query Results
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>odbc (more info?)

I have ODBC links in my Access 2007 to a certain SQL2005 table which has
about 500k records.

If I run a query, that, lets say, pulls one months worth of transactions I
seem to get
the correct number of records, but the data on the screen has other random
data from
the table, that does not match my criteria. The table has two types of
dates fields,
regular date cols, and fiscal year formatted date cols, like FY200801,
FY200802, etc.

Also note that if I export this to excel, the mysterious bad data comes out.
My question is why does MS Access display this bogus data on the screen,
but seems to be applying the criteria correctly, behind the scenes.

Thanks.
Ski.
