Is there any third-party utility that can enable us to import parts of one
script into another? This is rapidly becoming my No. 1 wish list for
FileMaker...

Not that I've ever found, but there may well be one somewhere.

All you need to do is duplicate or import the original script and
delete the parts you don't need. (If you're on a Mac you might be able
to do something with AppleScript, but it's probably more hassle than
its worth.)

This of course only works for new scripts, not when you're trying to
add a few new commands to different existing scripts - although you can
get around that by making the new bits in their own separate script and
then simply inserting a Perform Script command into the older scripts.
