Hello Everyone,

I am trying to have SQL 2005 use mixed authentication, but when I go to the
security, the options are disabled. I can can not choose neither Windows
Authentication or SQL and Windows Authentication.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you,
Bill

If your OS is Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 then UAC may be active
and it may cause those options to be disabled.

While running SSMS, right click on it and use Run as Administrator to start
it. Also ensure that you have enough permissions to change those options.
