Post subject: Connecting to Oracle Database within SQL Server 2005
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>programming (more info?)

I have a Oracle Legacy 8.1.6 DB I am trying to connect to via SQL
Server 2005.
My SQL server is a 64 bit machine. I have successfully connected to
the database via System DSN Connection using Oracle OLE connection. I
have tried the following other drivers to connect to my Oracle db
ORA92 Driver
Microsoft OLE Driver for Oracle
I either get an ora-06413 or ORA-12514 error.
I believe my issue may be caused by SQL Server being installed in the
Program Files (x86) folder. I have read many articles saying this
causes issues. I have tried to implement all the suggestions but I
have gotten no resolution. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
