Hi,

I know this is redundant in V8.2 as anybody seen a performance
degradation if this registry variable is left configured following a
migration V8.2 FP15.

It only affects the creation of new tablespaces.

No.
The variable was deprecated in DB2 V8.2.
It was replaced by: DB2_USE_PAGE_CONTAINER_TAG
NULL is the default Which is equivalent to DB2_STRIPED_CONTAINERS ON

Actually, there is degradation if the the V8 variable is OFF (V9
DB2_..._TAG ON).

If striped_containers were set to on in V8, the migration will set the
V9 CONTAINER_TAG to NULL and all new create tablespace will use it.
