what is the current status of drug & drop support
on the side of Cognos Impromptu in browsers other
than Internet Explorer (Mozilla, Opera)?

What ARE you talking about?
1. Impromptu is a SQL tool (rarely used for ROLAP)
2. Impromptu is not a Browser-based too.
