Help Filemaker Cut and Paste Losing Focus

I have an application where I am trying to cut and paste information
from a Google Portal into a field in filemaker.
I can easily do this with a cut and paste script, but when I attach
that script to a button, as soon as you click the button, the focus on
what you highlighted on the Google Portal goes away so you get nothing
in the field.

So if you run the script it works because picking the dropdown to run
the script doesn't lose the focus from the portal. As soon as you
click on a button, that google portal highlighted segment goes away.

How do you get around this ?

What happens when you use the script menu shortcut for the script?

You will have to make sure that the script is within the first 10 to be shown on the scripts menu, otherwise there will be no shortcut...
