Post subject: Joining Cubes
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>olap (more info?)

I am a novice with SQL Server slowly learning about OLAP Cubes and proper
design. Is there a way to join two OLAP Cubes? Is there a good reference
someone could point me to? Are there opinions about different methods or
strategies on these kind of joins?

Thanks in advance

in AS2000 you use virtual cubes

SSAS2005/08 you can use linked measure groups

I should have been more clear in that we are using SQL Server 2005

I am still learning, could you explain in more depth or point me to a
reference on how to use linked measure groups?

Thanks for your help
