Linked Cube question

Hi,

I am trying to under stand the use of linked Cubes.
I have 2 Cubes (Cube1 & Cube2). I do not want to process Cube1 and it has 10
dim & data Yr 2008

Now I copied the Cube1 as Cube2 and Added 2 new dim and Data we will add from
Yr 2009

Now I want to Linked the Cube1 into Cube2. Here is my confusion.

1. If I rename the Measure Group name in Cube1, Do I need to process Cube or
it stays online?
2. Now in the above case, I have 10 common dimensions. Do I need to rename
the dimension from Cube1, The goal is want to keep same dimensions.
3. Do I have to use Cube1 as online to create Linked Cube ?
4. can I keep one common dimension between Cube2 and create the linked cube
from Cube1.
