This has cropped up a few times, but I have yet to find a satisfactory answer.

My company uses an .mdb with tables linked to an Oracle backend through ODBC
(MS Oracle driver). Until recently this was working fine, however something
changed (no one can say what) and now for all fields of type LONG in the
Oracle database we get the following value in that field: #S_C_H#

I've scanned everything I can find - there are no spaces in the table/column
name, etc. Like I said, this was working before.

Does anyone know what this #S_C_H# message means? It would help if there
was some clear documentation that stated what causes this message to appear.

Thanks,

Andreas Mertens

Have you tried re-linking the table?

Yes, we did try re-linking, same result.
