Post subject: Problem with Network
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>vb>database>odbc (more info?)

I seem to have run into a problem where when setting the connection for a
linked table in a Jet database and doing a RefreshLink the network library
gets changed from DBMSSOCN to DBMSLPCN. It seems to only do this on certain
machines. The connect string is:

ODBC;DRIVER=SQL
Server;SERVER=ComServer;UID=xxxx;PWD=xxxx;APP=LoanApp;WSID=COM2;DATABASE=Loa
nProce15;NETWORK=DBMSSOCN;AutoTranslate=No;QuoteID=No;AnsiNPW=No

Is there anyway for me to prevent this behaviour?

We are using the DAO 3.51 library.

Gary
