Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>setup (more info?)

We have a department that would like to Install a SQL 2005 Application in a
WTS Server.

My question is, are there any issues that one would run into if you install
SQL 2005 in a WTS (Application Mode) on Windows 2003?

The following article says they are not supported but this article only
deals with clustered environments.
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=327270.

More background info.

They are install Microsft RMS (Retail Managment System) using SQL 2005 Std
for Cash Registers to Point to the Server. The WTS component will be used to
Install Quickbooks Premier. So WTS users will not access the RMS
application, just the Quickbooks application.

Let me know if I can provide more info?

There shouldn't be any problem installing SQL Server 2005 on a Terminal Server.
