I am trying to install SQL 2005 Std on a server that is a domain controller,
but not the main server in a Small Business Server domain. We upgraded SBS
2003 R2 to Premium Edition, but the SQL server turned out to be a Workgroup
Edition and lacks some features that the DBA consultant promised. I am a
generalist and responsible for getting SQL Std going. We are at the testing
stage.
SQL 2000 was installed, but I uninstalled it before beginning the SQL 2005
installation. The CDs were copied to the server and I am installing from the
copies.
I get all the way through selecting the options, but then install quits
saying the listed features are not valid. No specific features are cited.
We have a database to test and would like to get this install completed
asap.
