Not sure if you will be able to help
I have a registered copy of SQL 2005 installed locally on my laptop.
I downloaded the SQL 2008 express from the web, and have tried to install it
(On Laptop)
I click on the Setup Icon, a Dos Window appears then dissappears , then
nothing else happens
I have upgraded my main server already to SQL 2008 (Registered) and that
installed oK
I have also tried to install this on my laptop, with the same effect as the
express version
All pre reqs have been installed, and have been checked and double checked
I did look at the log file and it suggests an sql100exception error. I have
searched the web and can only find one post with this error, but no
soloution
Anyone help at all
