Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>tools (more info?)

Hello --

The Wizard leads me through finding and adding the mdb files, and then
shows the following error in the step "Connect to SQL Server 2005":

"This version of the SQL Server is not supported. You must connect to
an instance of SQL Server 2005."

Relevant information about my SQL Server 2005 version after installing
SP3 is:
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 9.00.4028.00
Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools 2005.090.4028.00
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2000.085.1117.00
(xpsp_sp2_rtm.
040803-2158)
Microsoft MSXML 2.6 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.50727.832
Operating System 5.1.2600

This is displayed on top of a window showing "SQL Server 2005"!

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance for any help.

L Mehl

Mehl,
I can not help you with the Wizrad, but I can offer Nob Hill's tool
Maria-Alix, it can Get Data From Any Source: SQL Server, Oracle,
MySQL, CSV or fixed-width text files, XML files, ADOMD sources (cubes)
or and many other OLEDB or ODBC-based data sources.

Check the fetchers on : http://www.nobhillsoft.com/MarieAlix_detail.aspx
