| When I install SQL 2005 standard ver, I could not see options to install
program files on c and data on d.
When I click Advance tab, only can browse to one location for data and
program files not like in SQL 2000 that there is a option to let you select
database on different drive and program on another drive.

The instance (is the server name?) property shows database settings are
blank. When I browser it and only can select data and log. I cannot see.mdb
and ldb files.

To change installation path of database engine, tools for managing
relational and XML data, Replication and Full-Text Search, click the Browse
button when Database Services item is selected.
To change the installation directory of Data Files, click the Browse button
when the Data Files item is selected.
Some components' installation path is fixed and some are configurable.

Do I need to do something after upgrade SQL 2000 to SQL 2005? Do I need to
run update statistics; usage counters and repopulate full-text catalog?
If so, Do I need to do these post isntallation task using query? I am new to
SQL 2005, please details the steps. I greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

You absolutely need to update the statistics and you need to run Upgrade
Advisor before any upgrade. Then you may want to run profiler and observe
the Deprecated commands using related Events...
I suggest you to see the following link from Books Online which is your best
friend as a SQL Server worker.
Upgrading the Database Engine:

This is an old question. If I re-map database to D drive but the logs and
reporting are still on C:\---even maste and msdb.mdf are all located on c
drive, which I want to move to d but it is not allowing me even stopped all
services.........I guess only install SQL on D directly.

You can move the system databases after installation. See this link:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345408(SQL.90).aspx
Logs are saved in a directory named LOG which is in the folder of instance
installation. So I think you set the installation path as C: (default)
drive.
