Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>notificationsvcs (more info?)

I'm trying to create an Alert to find out when my database
logs is almost full using the "SQL Server performance
condition alert" type. However in my New Alert Properties
windows the only Type of Alert option I have is the "SQL
Server Event alert". I know I have the SQL server monitor
on windows and I have the profile monitor as well because
I use them all the time. Any idea why or what do I need to
do to use the peformance monitor to monitor my db log
sizes?
Thanks in advance for your help. Oliva

PS: I'm not sure if I'm posting this on the right
newsgroup. I didn't see any newsgroup for DBA. Let me know
if there is one.

Hi Olivia,

The correct newsgroup for this question is microsoft.public.sqlserver.tools.
