Hi I would like some advice, i have started as a DBA and have 20 sql servers
under me. Each Sql Service account and Sql Agent account runs under different
accounts so thats 40 accounts to keep track off.

Some of the paswords are not known so instead of just resetting the
passwords and restating the services, I want all the servers and the agents
running under the same low priveledge domain account.

Do you consider this a definate no no or is it permisable as I am trying to
centralise everything

thanks for any advice

Sammy

Yes it can be done this way. It is more secure to use the setup that
you have now, as the SQL Server's can not log into each other without
specific access being granted. However the bulk of shops use a single
account for all SQL Servers.
