Hi all, if anyone can shed some light on this I'd be very happy!

I have an large application which uses the DAO version that is loaded on the
users system (normally 3.6). There are currently over 300 users of the
application and it would appear that the majority have no problems. This
applciation is 4 years down the line in it's development
..
Anayway, occassionally I get a user that has a problem whenever there is a
Data Control on a form. The form will be child window of the MDI and the
data control will be linked to a True DBGrid since the grid can't be used
without the data control. No matter what error coding I place in the forms
load event whenever the user tries to open a form that contains a data
control the application just shuts down! sometimes with a beep. They don't
even get a GPF! everything else appears to work fine.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Cheers Chris

Solved - vb5db.dll was not present in the system directory even though DAO
3.6 MDAC 2 and VB6 sp6 runtime files were installed.
