Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding trargeted marketing. What is the best mining
algorithm to use for this? Say I have a set of customers who buy from my web
store. Now, whenever I come up with a new product for sale, I would like to
send out broadcasts to "targeted customers." say my new product has cetain
characteristics: c1, c2, c3 - based on previous transactions of my
customers, I want to determine the set of customers I'd like to send my
promotion for my new product...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Poch

One of the most frequently sited paper in this area is
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="ftp://ftp.research.microsoft.com/pub/tr/tr-98-12.pdf" target="_blank">ftp://ftp.research.microsoft.com/pub/tr/tr-98-12.pdf</a> and
Microsoft_Decision_Trees in SQL 2000 implements one of the best in the
paper.
