Hello,
I have a program written in vb 6 that gets data from SQL Server 2000 through
a stored procedure. SQL Server is contained on a seperate server. On a
client machine, connected by ODBC driver, the stored procedure executes very
slow and causes a time out error. I ran the program on my development
machine which is close to the server, and it ran without the time out error,
but still ran slow. I tried running the stored procedure from query analyzer
and the results are returned in less than a second. Can anyone tell me why
it runs so slow on the vb client side? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
