Post subject: Unable to Load Communication Module
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>odbc (more info?)

We have two machines that are unable to connect to a named instance on a SQL
2005 server.

The message is "Unable to load communication module."

The application creates user ODBC connections using the SQL Server 2000
drivers (3.7) rather than SQL 2005 drivers. When I created a 2005 connection,
I was able to connect to the server. However, we need the 2000 connections to
work for the application.

Can somebody tell me what we should do to address the error message?

Thank you
