Post subject: Unable to create to clustered sql server
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>sqlserver>odbc (more info?)

I have a clustered sql server 2005 instance, 9.00.3042. Example setup:
Virtual SQL - SQLCLUST
Physical Nodes: NodeA and NodeB

When I am on a client workstation and attempt to create an ODBC connection
using SQL Native Client Driver the drop down lists shows NodeA and NodeB but
I don't see SQLCLUST.
If I select either NodeA or NodeB the connection fails, but if I key in
SQLClust the connection succeeds.
When I am logged into NodeA or NodeB and attempt the same SQLClust shows in
the drop down list along with the Node that I logged into.

Any ideas on what is causing this would be appreciated.
