Post subject: upgrade the front-end catalogs

Please,

i am moving from Ingres II 2.6 (SP5) do AIX 4.3 to o AIX 5.3. SP5 64
bits.

Is it necessary adopt upgrade the front-end catalogs using:

upgradefe dbname INGRES?

I can't think of any FE catalog difference between 32-bit and
64-bit. On the other hand, running upgradefe unnecessarily should
just be a no-op and shouldn't hurt anything.

Hi Karl,

Let me detail the scenario.

From Source: I will do an Unload
From target: i will install a fresh Ingres install and load all data
from source.
Using this method, i think it is not necessary upgrade the catalogs,
is it?

I'd have to try it to be 100% sure, but I think you are
correct -- there will be no need to upgrade the catalogs.
