How to secure Windows:

1. Uninstall Windows.

2. Install Linux (Ubuntu for Mom and Dad, Gentoo for CS majors, Debian
for tech professionals)

3. Enjoy.

Windows is a disaster.

aha ahahaha
i am stung by a reply on my mailing list:

So old. Not appreciating MS is like not appreciating soap. Whoever
invented it just was interested in getting you clean - and didn't
worry that you had to get wet and dry off. And if you get it in your
eyes, it stings.. Improvements have been made but it's still soap.
Whether or not you want a fancier better soap is up to you but
slamming Ivory Soap around because you prefer the new, antibacterial,
Spring-scented Irish Spring seems really stupid...whoever invented the
first soap was a genius; people who improve soap have an easier job.
I'd like to see Linux provide as many jobs as MS did! Ha!! Over time
that company has paid for a TON of Americans to survive - Linux may be
good but there is no reason to bash Windows - it's like bashing the
Model-T when you have a Porsche. Gates has done a lot of good with
that money, too - do you any of the car companies giving charity like
the Bill and Melinda Foundation!? C'mon, you do this 'cuz yer jealous!
USE VISTA!! lol They don't ask for bailouts like Pet Smart..Sax Fifth
Ave?
